A DC Fantasy

Let me be your superman
I'll catch you when you fall
I'll be there when you call

Won't you be my Lois Lane?
For me to love from afar
For me to save from a burning car

I'll be your Clark Kent
A hero in disguise,
Behind only his glasses

You'll be my kryptonite
Two weaknesses in one
Less reason to run

Reckless Abandon

A heavy step,
Reflecting on the heart.
A deep breath,
To relieve some pain.
A single tear,
Betraying her mask.
A facial twitch,
To show his surprise.

He clenches his fists,
To stop himself from grabbing her wrists.
Wishing she'd take back the goodbye,
Not knowing she wants him to fight.
For her.
To stop her.

His mind yells stop.
His body stops.
He begins to mouth stop.
He shouts to her, 'stop'.

'Don't go.'
'Why shouldn't I?'
'How will I ever know?'
'Know what?'

'What will it be like, spending my life with you?
Sharing every moment with you?
I haven't got a clue,
What the future holds for us,
But this is something I must
Say;
Because you're running away,
I know exactly how much you mean to me.
So please don't leave.'

The Time is Significant Because It Is

Like a moth to the flame,
He walks into her embrace.
Nothing else existed in that space.
Sensing security radiate from her body,
He is reminded of something bawdy.
Here, there is no passion,
Nothing like a love connection.
Just a desire for physical contact,
To keep his sanity intact.
He has no reason to adore her,
Yet he feels attraction for her,
Like a moth to the flame.

A Neverending Trap

A righteous anger did engulf the crowd within,
A flaming desire, burning brighter than the sun.
Blinding the forces that do repel.
A strong hurricane, blowing a sand of change.
A tidal wave, to crash upon the shoulders of those who do evil.
A landslide of might, pushing back a façade.
All things eroding that veneer of perfection.
Such a pretentious face.
