Laying awake with the sun in my eyes,
I do not rise out of bed.
For doing so means facing the world,
But it weighs me down like lead.
Thoughts tumble and thoughts fall,
Through my endless imagination.
Yet I am unable to voice a single one,
For doing so would require concentration.
Half dazed I crawl over the side,
In an attempt to overcome laziness.
A failure,
As my mind stays in haziness.
I muster the courage to stand,
And as I stretch everything whirls.
Everything hurts and I realise,
I am still unable to face the world.
