Lights

A hundred million miles or more,
Through a forest of thorns,
This lonely soul,
Has had to walk.

For a second of pleasure,
The moment's a blur,
Has into a memory burnt,
A lesson learnt.

Harken the call of the wind,
The air grins,
The cold pinch,
Fear being it's lunch.

Ding, Ding, Ding,
Hear the bells ring.
Dong, Dong, Dong,
You heard it wrong.
